Campbellton Regional Hospital Closed To Visits, Emergency And Non-Emergency Services

With two more health care workers in Zone 5 being diagnosed with COVID-19 on Saturday, there will be no visits to the Campbellton Regional Hospital and all non emergency services are cancelled until further notice.

The emergency department is also closed.

President and CEO for Vitalite health network Gilles Lanteigne says the network has no choice but to take these measures immediately given the evolution of the spread of the virus in Zone 5.

The Network is also implementing a series of strict infection prevention and control measures.

Disinfection activities are increased, the wearing of personal protective equipment is reinforced, and a systematic screening plan for employees and certain patients is in place.
