Dennis Oland may be going on trial in September of this year. That’s what the prosecution would like to see but the defense is calling that proposed date unreasonable.
It would be his second murder trial relating to the 2011 murder of this father, Richard Oland.
The prosecution also wants to appeal the New Brunswick Court of Appeal ruling from October that overturned the guilty verdict that came down in December of 2015. The Supreme Court doesn’t necessarily have to hear the appeal.
