Fairlanes Bowling in Moncton wants to give parents a helping hand as they send their kids off to school in September.
Operations Manager Colin Coady says a daylong event called “Bowl for Books” is being held at Fairlanes on Thursday and will benefit Moncton Headstart’s school supply campaign.
“These school supplies that everyone is asking for their kids to bring to school can run pretty close to 100 bucks and if you have two or three kids that’s pretty expensive,” he notes.
Coady says Fairlanes is donating 100 percent of its proceeds to Headstart from open bowling on Thursday from 12 noon until 10 p.m.
