Boil water order lifted in Dieppe

Officials in Dieppe say a boil water order in part of the city has been lifted.

It was issued Monday after a water main break on Dover Road and Amirault Street.

The order impacted residents located from 2135 Amirault all the way up to city limits going toward Memramcook.

It also applied to all residents of Dover, Bayview, Freda, Kristian, Marco, J.F. Bourgeois, Vézina, Raphaël, Carter and Joanne streets, as well as Domaine Dover Estates.

City officials said all cold interior and exterior water faucets should be run for between 10 and 15 minutes.

Hot water faucets should be run for at least 15 minutes for a 40-gallon hot water tank and at least 30 minutes for an 80-gallon tank or larger.

Water dispensers from fridges should be flushed with at least one litre of water before use.

If you have an automatic ice dispenser, throw out any ice made during the boil water order and over the next 24 hours.
