Boil Water Order Lifted For Dieppe Neighbourhood

A boil water order for a portion of Dieppe in the Dover Estates area has been lifted.

The City of Dieppe had put the order in place on Saturday following a water main break on Amirault Street near Dover Road.

The affected streets were as follows:

  • between 1947 and 2685 Amirault
  • between 16 and 19 Leonide
  • between 301 and 818 Dover
  • all properties located in the Domaine Dover Estates
  • all properties located on Freda, Marco, Kristian, J.F.Bourgeois, Vézina, Raphaël, Joanne, Carter and Bayview.

The City advises residents to take the following measures when a boil water order has been lifted:

  • Cold interior and exterior water faucets: Run tap water for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Hot water faucets: Run tap water for at least 15 minutes for a 40-gallon hot water tank and at least 30 minutes for a 80-gallon hot water tank or larger.
  • Water dispensers from refrigerators should be flushed with at least one litre of water before consumption.
  • Discard any water used in humidifiers and rinse the device with clean water.
  • Automatic ice dispensers should be emptied of ice made during the boil water order. Then, discard any ice made over an additional 24-hour period to assure that any potential contaminated water has been discarded.

If you notice a lack of water pressure or discoloured water, please call the City at 877-7990 or 850-5104 (after business hours).
