UPDATE: Dieppe Lifts Boil Water Order

The City of Dieppe has lifted the boil water order that was caused by a water main break.

The order was issued on Friday, for residents from 350 Dover Road to the city limits and for those from the Domaine Dover Estates.

Several measures are recommended for those that were affected by the boil water order.

  • Cold interior and exterior water faucets: Run tap water for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Hot water faucets: Run tap water for at least 15 minutes for a 40-gallon hot water tank and at least 30 minutes for an 80-gallon hot water tank or larger.
  • Water dispensers from refrigerators should be flushed with at least one litre of water before consumption.
  • After flushing hot and cold water pipes, run dishwasher empty one time.
  • Discard any water used in humidifiers and rinse the device with clean water.
  • Automatic ice dispensers should be emptied of ice made during the boil water order. Then, discard any ice made over an additional 24-hour period to assure that any potential contaminated water has been discarded.

If you notice a lack of water pressure or discoloured water, please call 877.7990 or 850.5104
