Irishtown Nature Park is closed to recreational use due to blue-green algae.
The City of Moncton says the bloom is not visible but there is a high concentration of a toxin producing species.
Kayaking, canoeing, and other recreational activities are suspended until further notice.
Pet owners are also being asked to keep their dogs out of the water.
Notices have been posted throughout the park.
Routine testing is done at Moncton’s waterways to check for the presence of blue-green algae.
