Black Widow Spiders shut down Cape Breton Transit garage

A few surprise guests hitched a free ride on a bus to Cape Breton.

Transit Cape Breton in Sydney was forced to shut down its garage after black widow spiders were found on a new bus delivered from California.

Workers made the shocking discovery and called in the fumigators.

Black Widow spiders aren’t deadly, but their bites can cause painful swelling.

They are typically found along the U.S. border in southern parts of B.C. through to Manitoba and parts of Ontario.
