Big Swim Raises Over $167, 000 To Send Kids To Camp

Over $167, 000 was raised, thanks to 44 Maritime swimmers.

They took part in yesterday’s 9th annual Big Swim across the Northumberland Strait.

The 31 swimmers from Nova Scotia, eight from Ontario, four from New Brunswick, and one from PEI, swam between Cape Jourimain and Borden-Carleton, PEI, with a kayaker by their side.

The money will be used to send 150 children to camp at Brigadoon Village, a non-profit camp for children and youth with chronic conditions.
