Eight weeks after a shooting rocked Fredericton, thousands gathered on Saturday night for a benefit concert aimed at bringing the community closer together.
About 12 different artists performed in front of a packed crowd at the Aitken University Centre as part of the Fredericton Strong concert.
The Trews, Neon Dreams, David Myles, Classified, Tebey, and Madeleine Merlo were among those to take the stage.
The concert was held to thank first responders and help the city heal from the August 10 shooting, which left four people dead and an entire city in shock.

Const. Sara Burns and Const. Robb Costello of the Fredericton Police Force were killed, along with Fredericton residents Donald Robichaud and Bobbie Lee Wright.
At one point, Fredericton Mayor Mike O’Brien came out on stage and had everyone hold hands with the person next to them for a minute of silence.
The concert raised money for the Canadian Red Cross, the Chalmers Foundation and the Canadian Mental Health Association — three support services which helped those impacted immediately following the shooting.
