Since releasing the Becca Told Me To book in December of last year, it has sold 1,534 copies according to author Jason Tremere.
He says 529 copies have been sold on Amazon online stores worldwide, but the lion’s share are from right here in Altlantic Canada.
“Specifically Chapters Moncton, so the tally I have that have been paid for so far is almost 400 copies, but there’s almost 1,000 copies sold in total, and I’m ready to hand the proceeds over to the Schofields as soon as I get payment from their Head Office,” says Tremere.
He adds they are continually getting emails and message from readers all around the globe.
“From people that have been touched so much by the book and what Rebecca’s wish was, and how simple it was, and how simple it is to be kind, and it is a choice,” says Tremere. “So yeah, we get some really nice emails from people and how it’s affecting them and how they’re spreading the word to other people.”
Tremere says he had originally planned to make a second and third volume, but that has changed after discussing it with Becca’s parents Anne and Darren.
“In talking to them, they want to release their own memoirs, or books around Rebecca’s story, so I’ll just step back and let them do their thing with that,” says Tremere.
Tremere says the book has gone global, with one woman taking ten copies to Jamaica, and another woman bringing some to Europe on vacation.
