The City of Dieppe is reporting a bear sighting in the Chartersville, Bourque, Melanson roads and Dieppe Boulevard area.
The Energy and Resource Development Department has been notified.
They say black bears are generally shy and avoid humans, but they will attempt to eat anything that looks, smells or tastes like food.
Residents are asked to avoid leaving garbage or food outside .
