Ballet gets city funding boost

MONCTON, N.B. – Ballerina dancers in Metro Moncton have been given some extra cash as they continue to shine on the national and international stage.

Moncton City Council has approved an increase in the annual grant to the Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada from $75,000 to $100,000 in 2014.

The organization says it’s working on a plan to become more sustainable in the coming years.
