Bail Hearing Rescheduled For Man Accused Of Shooting Teacher

A man facing more than 30 charges including the attempted murder of a teacher in Riverview will stay in jail until at least later this spring.

A bail hearing was set for 24-year-old Janson Bryan Baker on Wednesday but his lawyer asked the court for additional time.

The hearing was rescheduled and Baker will now return to court on May 28.

Baker faces more charges related to other incidents such as armed robbery, assault with a weapon, theft and possession of stolen property.

Teacher Chris Leger was injured in a shooting outside Riverview High School on January 5.

Following a manhunt, police arrested Baker the next day in Amherst.
