The trial for a Riverview woman accused of attempting to murder a baby has been cancelled.
31 year old Christine Margaret Wood was supposed to start her five week trial today facing 3 charges relating to an infant’s death 6 years ago.
A motion filed by defence lawyer Scott Fowler revealed Wood now plans to be tried in a provincial court, instead of the Court of Queen’s Bench in Moncton.
Wood is charged with attempted murder, improperly or indecently interfering with or offering an indignity to a dead human body or human remains.
No date has been set for the new trial.
