Autopsy Being Done Today On Body Found In Petitcodiac River

An autopsy will be done in Saint John today, after a woman’s body was found in the Petitcodiac River.

Codiac RCMP says they received the call at around 8am yesterday morning, from someone who was walking on the Riverfront Trail, who spotted the body in the water.

Police, Ambulance and Fire departments went to the scene.

It is believed the body is a woman, in her late fifties or sixties, and police don’t think the body had been in the water for very long.
