The population of Sussex will grow by thousands over the coming days.
The 36th annual Atlantic Balloon Fiesta gets underway on Thursday evening.
It is described as the largest free outdoor family event in the region.
More than two dozen hot air balloons will take to the skies twice daily, weather permitting, with the first balloon rides scheduled for early Thursday evening.
That will be followed by planned flights in the early morning and early evening on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to the hot air balloons, there are several other activities taking place throughout the weekend.
That includes amusement rides, vendors, an indoor market, live entertainment, and a car show.
