Armed Robbery Suspect Being Sought

A suspect is being sought by Codiac RCMP after an attempted robbery.

Sergeant Harry Brown of the RCMP says the incident happened around 5 in the afternoon.

“A man armed with a knife entered the Rite Stop convenience store located on Humphrey Street in Moncton and demanded money,” says Brown. “The suspect left the store on foot and was last seen heading towards Connaught Street.”

A perimeter was set up and a police dog was brought in but officers did not find the suspect.

Brown says they are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.

He is described as a Caucasion male, average height with a slim build.

He was wearing a long dark green jacket with a hood and lime green laces.

He had black gym pants, brown shoes and white gloves and had covered his face.
