Arctic Mass Creates Cold Temperatures Across New Brunswick

If you think it looks cold outside, you’re right. Environment Canada says there is a cold Arctic airmass that remains over New Brunswick and that will mean extremely cold temperatures and cold winds over the next couple of days.

Windchill values of up to minus 30 are expected.

A reminder that exposure to cold weather can be harmful, and frostbite can also occur when skin freezes.

Those most at risk are those who work or live outdoors, those with a pre-existing heart condition or respiratory illness, the elderly, infants and young children.

Ensure you dress in layers, and cover exposed skin. Stay dry, because your risk of hypothermia is much greater if you are wet. If you have to be outdoors, find shelter where you can warm up.
