Another Wintry Blast Closes Some Schools

For the second time in less than a week, another wintry blast has moved into New Brunswick.

This storm is bringing a mix of precipitation including snow, freezing rain, ice pellets and rain.

Greater Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick remains under a special weather statement with rain expected today after a messy start.

Up north and to our west, winter storm and snowfall warnings have been issued by Environment Canada.

Schools in the Anglophone North School District – Miramichi area – have closed today as well as schools in the Anglophone West School District – Fredericton area.

Some schools in Francophone South District in Kent County have also shut down today – in Richibucto, St. Louis de Kent and Rogersville.

Many roads are snow covered with slushy or icy sections and for the last conditions, call 511 or go online HERE
