More snow in the forecast for later today.
Our region is currently under a snowfall warning.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Barrie MacKinnon tells us when it is expected to start, “It is expected to develop this afternoon and then intensify this evening. That snow is going to continue until overnight tonight, when to will likely change to rain or freezing rain for a few hours and then early Thursday morning.”
Up to 25 centimetres of snow and ice pellets are expected for our region.
He says we may see some blowing snow in some areas with winds of up to 50 kilometres an hour.
MacKinnon says once this system wraps up, they are keeping a close eye on another one coming in for the weekend, that may bring more snow and rain..
