Another storm expected for Saturday

It looks like we are in for another round of winter weather on Saturday.

Forecasters are watching a developing storm similar to the one on Wednesday.

Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for the entire province on Thursday.

The weather agency said while it is too soon to provide specifics, we could see strong winds, along with snow, ice pellets or rain.

“The emergence of this disturbance will coincide with high astronomical tide to produce elevated water levels. Large waves and pounding surf will impact most east-southeast-facing coastlines, especially near high tide,” said the statement.

“These large waves can cause coastal erosion in vulnerable areas, and flood some of the coastal roadways.”

Environment Canada said more information will be provided as the details become more certain.
