Amur Tiger Cubs To Make Public Debut At Magnetic Hill Zoo

The Magnetic Hill Zoo is unveiling the three Amur tiger cubs to the public for the first time at 8:30 Thursday morning.

Zoo director Jill Marvin says the cubs and their mother Anya have been doing well since they were born.

“They are so cute and I just can’t wait to share the joys that we have had for the past seven weeks. The cubs are absolutely adorable. They will grab your heart,” she says.

Four cubs were born on May 11th but a female cub died shortly after and a necropsy confirmed she was born with defects that didn’t allow her to thrive.

Marvin says she’s in awe of the mom Anya noting how she’s a perfect example of how a mother should be by keeping the cubs close yet she still lets them have their way.

As for the unveiling, Marvin adds it’s difficult to say how the cubs may react and could be a bit shy at first.
