Conservative leader David Alward says he wants to turn New Brunswick into a have province and wants to achieve that by following the example set by Saskatchewan.
Alward says the economies of Saskatchewan and New Brunswick were similar 15 years ago but then Saskatchewan developed its natural resources, including shale gas, and forged much further ahead with household income now 25 per cent higher in that province than it is here and young people are no longer leaving Saskatchewan for greener pastures elsewhere.
