Innovation was the focus of a campaign stop for Progressive Conservative leader David Alward in Moncton today.
If elected next week, Alward has announced he would invest an additional $18-million in the province’s knowlege sectors including information and communications technology.
The plan would build on the government’s existing $82-million innovation agenda.
Alward says the funding is an investment in the future.
“I’m confident that these investments will help write New Brunswick’s next big success stories like Radian-6 and Q1 Labs.”
Alward also tied the announcement into his natural resources plan saying technology firms add value to those types of industries here and around the world.
