It seems the advance polls this weekend were quite busy throughout the province.
Elections New Brunswick says an estimated 44,000 ballots were cast on Saturday, although the numbers are still unofficial at this point.
Spokesperson Paul Harpelle told our newsroom that is up from just under 34,000 during the first day of voting in 2014.
Saturday was the first of two advance polling days — the second is Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
