A Former NB Premier Supports Immigration To Solve Population Decline

Former Premier Frank McKenna thinks immigration is key to solving the population decline in Atlantic Canada

McKenna says we desperately need to get more immigrants in our region.

He wanted to tell workers of this region who may not understand this that immigrants create jobs wherever they go and we’re all better off.

He says we need a special deal with Ottawa to ensure they come here because if we let the market dictate where new immigrants will go they will end up in Toronto,

Vancouver and Montreal which doesn’t help us at all.
