Another Snow Day In NB Due To Bad Weather

It’s going to be a messy couple of days in the region, with snow, ice pellets and freezing rain on the way.

Students are getting another snow day as a result. Schools across the province, in areas including Anglophone East, Francophone South, Anglophone North and Anglophone South are closed today.

Environment Canada alerts vary across the province depending on where you live.

For Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick, we are under a freezing rain warning.

Kent County is dealing with a winter storm warning, and to the north, those areas are under snowfall warnings.

Precipitation began this morning as snow in this region, but will then transition to ice pellets and then freezing rain by this afternoon and that is expected to continue until Wednesday morning.

Up to 15 centimetres of snow and ice pellets is expected.

In areas under winter storm warning, up to 30 centimetres of snow and ice pellets are expected.

Roads, highways and walkways will be icy and very slippery. This is expected to delay travel across the province, and make driving treacherous.

Our Trinity Storm Watch page has a full list of closures and cancellations,
