Another Snow Day For Schools Across Southern New Brunswick

Another storm that is affecting the southern parts of the province, has closed schools for the second time in less than a week.

Anglophone East and Francophone South schools, with the exception of Baie-Ste-Anne, Fredericton, Miramichi, Oromocto, Richibucto, Rogersville, and Saint-Louis-de-Kent are closed today due to weather conditions.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Samantha Roch says as of around 5:30 this morning, around 18 centimetres had fallen. An additional five to ten centimetres is expected before the storm wraps up at around noon.

She says we’ll also see reduced wind speeds this afternoon.

Snow plows are out, but roads are still very snow covered and slippery this morning.

Delay your travels if you can. If not, make sure you give yourself lots of extra time.

Across the border in Nova Scotia, some areas are reporting between 30 and 40 centimetres of snow so far.
