Two People Displaced After Grand Barachois Fire

Fire has significantly damaged a home and garage in Grand Barachois.

Shediac Fire Captain Julien Boudreau says they arrived on Route 133 at around 5:30pm to find a garage and the attic fully engulfed.

Around 30 firefighters from Shediac, Cap-Pele and Beaubassin-Est were on scene.

It took around ten minutes to get it under control, but firefighters were on scene until around 10 o’clock monitoring for hot spots.

Two people were left displaced.

No word on a cause yet.
