In his last update on COVID-19 in 2020, Moncton’s incident commander of emergency measures said we should all be proud as a city and as a province of how we flattened the curve of the pandemic.
Compared to other jurisdictions, Fire Chief Conrad Landry noted how we’ve been a success story.
While we’re all tired of the pandemic and want to be at the Green level of recovery, Landry said we can’t get discouraged just yet.
“As much as the first vaccines have been delivered, we still have a significant road ahead of us.”
Landry believes we have a few months to go – probably well into the summer.
He urged everyone to continue following public health guidelines including limiting your close contacts to 20 people during the Yellow level.
