NB Power is warning customers in the Bouctouche area about an extended power outage.
The Crown utility says extensive work is needed to repair damaged equipment at a substation in Bouctouche.
The outage is impacting about 3,400 customers and could last until at least 5 a.m. Thursday (December 3).
The cause of the outage is not yet known.
NB Power spokesperson Marc Belliveau says his team will try and reach as many people as possible to advise them of the situation.
He adds patience is appreciated as crews work to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
