Annual Turkey Tradition Begins

Let the turkey collections begin.

The Sue Stultz and Moncton Firefighters annual turkey drive-thru kicks off this morning.

Firefighter Christopher Jackson says you can make your donation down back at the St. George Boulevard fire station.

“Most people, in the tradition like to bring a frozen turkey. Of course, we will accept other donations as well, you can bring a monetary donation.”

Indoor Turkey Central is closed due to Covid19 but the firefighters and other volunteers will be ready to assist unloading turkeys from your car.

You are asked to wear a mask, and those down back will also be taking all of the proper precautions to protect everyone from COVID-19

Turkey Drive-thru central will be open on December 2, 3 and 4th from 10am until 7pm.

The goal this year is 3216.

They’re starting the day with 196 turkeys so far, purchased from online donations.

A cheque will also be presented to the turkey drive this morning from Bessborough School for almost $3900.
