A large police presence could be found in the Donovan Terrace area off McLaughlin Drive in Moncton late Monday morning.
Codiac RCMP responded after reports of a firearm being discharged.
Corporal Marc Leger says officers contained the area and a search began.
Leger says a man was later found with a pellet gun.
He adds no charges will be laid.
Police were on scene for about 90 minutes.
