Dieppe Boil Water Order Lifted

A boil water order has been lifted for a portion of Dieppe.

The City of Dieppe says the advisory which was issued on Sunday has ended for the following homes:

  • 2071 to 2685 Amirault
  • 16 to 19 Leonide
  • 301 to 818 Dover
  • all properties located in the Domaine Dover Estates
  • all properties located on Freda, Marco, Kristian, J.F. Bourgeois, Vézina, Raphaël, Joanne, Carter and Bayview

Residents are asked to follow these measures when a boil water order has been lifted:

  • Cold interior and exterior water faucets: Run tap water for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Hot water faucets: Run tap water for at least 15 minutes for a 40-gallon hot water tank and 30 minutes for a 80-gallon hot water tank or larger.
  • Water dispensers from refrigerators should be flushed with 1-litre of water before consumption.
  • After flushing hot and cold water pipes, run dishwasher empty one time.
  • Discard any water used in humidifiers and rinse the device with clean water.
  • Automatic ice dispensers should be emptied of ice made during the boil water order. Discard any ice made over an additional 24-hour period to assure that any potential contaminated water has been discarded.

Anyone who notices a lack of water pressure or discoloured water, should call the City of Dieppe at 877-7990 or 850-5104 (after business hours).
