Roaming Moose Guided Back Into The Woods

A travelling moose kept RCMP and the Department of Natural Resources busy earlier today.

DNR Spokesperson Nick Brown says they received a call at around 7:15am of a young bull moose stuck in the mud along the Petitcodiac River on the Riverview side.

Other sightings followed and the animal was finally located again by the Causeway.

It crossed over to the Moncton side and travelled along the river, but then returned to the other side.

Brown says with the help of the RCMP, the animal was guided across Coverdale Road and into a wooded area.
