There’s a unique opportunity to explore the historic Doiron House and learn all about the home and it’s features during an augmented reality tour.
Manager of leisure services Pauline Cormier says the house has passed down through generations until it was purchased by the city of Dieppe in 2015.
Cormier says it was in excellent condition and that at least 80 per cent of the Acadian home is original from 1841.
“An in the house we have 7 fireplaces back then and we have one called a masonry in the kitchen which is probably one of the last ones in the Atlantic provinces, so that’s quite a unique feature and it’s sort of the masterpiece of the house as well,” she says.
The property is also connected to the Rotary Saint Anselme park and accessible through the city’s trail system, year round.
