United Way Launches Annual Fundraiser

The United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick just kicked off their annual campaign to help our most vulnerable citizens.

They’re calling on the community to come together and help raise 2 million dollars to fund essential local programs and services.

Campaign chair Philip Sallaj highlighted the importance of this year’s fundraising campaign, with vulnerable citizens struggling during COVID-19 pandemic.

“Those who are already vulnerable to issues like mental health challenges, homelessness and poverty are being hit even harder,” said Sallaj. “We need to work together to build a stronger community for everyone.”

The campaign raises money mainly through workplace payroll deduction programs, special events, as well as through individual and corporate contributions.

Donations will be collected until December.
