Teen Arrested After Reports Of Man With A Weapon

There was a large police presence in an area near Mill Road overnight.

RCMP Staff Sergeant Trish Levesque says they received reports at around 10pm o’clock of two people trespassing on a Toombs Street property.

One man was carrying a baseball bat and a pocket knife.

The homeowner confronted the suspects and they fled.

RCMP arrested an 18-year-old man a short distance away.

He was held in custody overnight and then released, with a court date in February.

No charges have been laid yet.

RCMP are still trying to locate a second suspect.
