Seven people have been arrested as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
Codiac Regional RCMP arrested three people in a parking lot on Mountain Road yesterday afternoon, a 26-year-old man from Moncton, and a 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman from Colpitts Settlement.
A loaded handgun, what is believed to be cocaine and a large sum of money, as well as a luxury vehicle believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of crime were all confiscated.
Police also searched a home on Oakland Avenue, where more drugs and drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized. Four people were arrested, two of which were released.
Two men, aged 43 and 67, both from Moncton as well that the three individuals arrested on Mountain Road have been released on a condition to appear in Moncton Provincial Court in January.
