Riverfront Night Market Cut Short Due To Overwhelming Response

The Town of Riverview has provided clarification on why the rest of the Riverfront Night Market was cancelled.

A release from the community says the popularity of the event was far greater than they had anticipated.

This resulted in operational challenges for available resources to comply with the protocols expected for events of that size.

Because of this, and less resources available for future events, they could not ensure the remaining events would be managed properly and adhere to the requirements of the COVID-19 Operational Plan.

It was the Town’s intention to support local business and provide them with a platform to get their products in the hands of consumers during these unprecedented times but had to make the though call to end the event early.

The Town thanks the National Farmers’ Union in New Brunswick for their financial support, and to all the vendors, patrons, volunteers and staff that made this event possible.
