Poll Shows P.C.’s Lead Liberals In N.B. Race

Progressive Conservative leader Blaine Higgs was the preferred choice for premier of New Brunswick in a recent poll by Narrative Research.

The survey shows support for the PC government was at an unprecedented high in the spring at 81 percent but support dropped since the election call to 67 percent.

Among decided voters, 44 percent would favour the Progressive Conservatives, 33 percent would favour the Liberals and 14 percent would support the Greens.

The NDP received 7 percent support and the People’s Alliance captured 2 percent support.

The telephone survey was conducted before and after the election call (August 5-23) with 800 New Brunswick adults participating.
