Moncton is getting a long-awaited direct flight to and from Newfoundland and Labrador.
Newfoundland’s Provincial Airlines will be offering flights between Moncton and St. John’s five days a week.
Starting September 21st, the service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The airline says the schedule is designed to offer passengers convenient morning departures and early arrival to allow for business and leisure activities at both destinations.
PAL President Calvin Ash says he’s thrilled to be able to respond to the needs of their growing customer base by adding the connection to New Brunswick.
Once Atlantic travel restrictions are loosened, the route will be extended to include Ottawa.
Ash says this is an important opportunity to introduce their services to new communities, while directly responding to their customers’ needs.
