Hackers Breach Canada Revenue Website

You will have to wait a bit if accessing Canada Revenue websites for government benefits, including those for the pandemic.

The agency says it was hacked over the weekend, compromising about 5,500 accounts, and is temporarily shut down.

The government says criminals were able to find usernames and passwords, and get their hands on Canadians’ benefits.

It advises to avoid becoming a victim, change your username and password.

The government adds it has shut down the “My Account” and “My Service Canada” websites.
