Man Charged For Pointing A Gun In Oromocto

A 27-year-old man from Whites Cove has been charged in connection with an incident in Oromocto on Monday night.

Just before 10 p.m, RCMP officers were called about a man pointing a long gun at people in a Lewis Street parking lot and uttering threats.

He fled in a truck as police arrived and was later found at a home in Whites Cove.

Following a search, five long guns, a pellet gun and ammunition were seized.

Denver Tyson Black appeared in Fredericton Provincial Court on Tuesday.

He was charged with the following offences:

-uttering threats

-pointing a firearm

-dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

-failing to stop for police

-unlawful possession of a firearm

He is due back in court on Thursday for a bail hearing.
