Re-Centre Makes Improvements To Recycling Program

Re-Centre recycling has made some changes, in an effort to make dropping off your recyclables faster and easier.

Spokesperson for Encorp Atlantic Nathalie Landry says you will now be labelling your bags before you drop them at the depot.

“When you purchase the Re-Centre bags that you need to use to collect your containers in and drop them off at the Depot. There will be stickers included. So those are bag tags with a bar code and this is how we know a bag belongs to one of the members,” Landry says.

This means more convenience for the customers, “This help reduce weight times, and it’s an added value service for customers so they can come at any time of the day. There’s no need to wait for the actual operating hours. So for people who want that express and drop and go, this is an added value service that Encorp is working to be able to offer for redemption centres,” Landry says.

She says Encorp is always trying to tweak its system in an effort to make the program better.

“The goal with this is to get to the best possible self-serve drop off depot model. Eventually what we would like is to have a model that we can have redemption centres in New Brunswick, if they are interested, adopt this as an add-on to the business,” Landry says.

She adds, they have also converted the Re-Express location by Sobey’s on Vaughn Harvey, to another Re-Centre location.
