Kent County Man Faces Drug Trafficking Charge

A 51-year-old Kent County man will make another court appearance today on a drug trafficking charge.

As part of an investigation, Richibucto RCMP arrested a man after a vehicle stop in Saint-Ignace last Thursday and later searched a home in the community.

In the home on Gallant Street, officers seized a quantity of what’s believed to be hydromorphone, along with prescription pills, drug equipment, firearms and some cash.

Jean-Marc Gigou has been charged with possession of hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking and remains in custody.
