UPDATE: Rainbow Crosswalks Brighten Greater Moncton

Greater Moncton just got a lot more colourful.

Crews added rainbow crosswalks in downtown Moncton today from Mechanic to Lutz Streets.

This is in support of Pride NB, a celebration that is being held virtually this year due to COVID-19.

Moncton, Saint John and Fredericton have come together for events to be held from July 10 to 18th.

The Town of Riverview will also be adding the crosswalks again this year.

A spokesperson say they’ll be painted this month, one at Fatima and Buckingham and the other at Cleveland and Coverdale.

The City of Dieppe will be painting a crosswalk in the usual spot, at the corner of Marché and Gauvin Streets.
