Metro Moncton Slo-Pitch Suspends 2020 Season

Slo-pitch players in Greater Moncton won’t be pulling out their gloves for the season anytime soon.

The Metro Moncton Slo-Pitch League has suspended its 2020 season due to COVID-19.

A statement on their website says there is no insurance that will cover the virus, and there is still a risk to players, spectators and umpires of contracting it.

It also says, even with waivers, the league, executive and city could still be liable.

As the province continues to manage through different phases of reopening activities, the league states it is hopeful there may be a chance to play some ball later this year.
