Cause Of Trailer Fire Found To Be Accidental

An improperly discarded cigarette is to blame for a fatal fire in a mobile home in Moncton.

Moncton Fire Division Chief Charles Leblanc says they’ve ruled the cause of the fire as accidental.

When firefighters arrived on Nancy Street in the White Frost Village on Sunday morning, the home was fully engulfed.

Firefighters discovered the body of a woman inside the home.

A man managed to escape, and was taken to hospital with serious, but non life threatening injuries.

RCMP say an autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.
